Rob Cooke
Rob Cooke MBA, (Victoria) is Managing Partner of Focis Consulting Inc. He brings extensive consulting experience in service strategy planning and transformation and in the assessment, design and implementation of shared services and outsourcing initiatives. He has been providing advisory services to clients for over 20 years and is the co-author of the highly successful book, "Shared Services: Mining for Corporate Gold", (Prentice Hall 2000) and the professional journal "Adopting and Implementing Shared Services”. His articles ‘Buying Force’ on procurement shared services and Signed, sealed…now to deliver’ on outsourcing contract management were published in Summit Magazine. Rob has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from York University.

Dr. Ray Johnston
Dr. Ray Johnston DEd (Toronto) is a senior business and service-transformation specialist with extensive experience in shared services and organizational change leadership. He has led major shared service and change initiatives in organizations across most government and business sectors He has a Doctorate Degree in Education in Developing Human Resources.

Harvey Mathews
Harvey Mathews brings a vast experience in business development and client relationship management to Focis, having worked with several major North American consulting organizations in progressively more responsible roles over the past 20 years. Harvey has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University in Montreal and is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute. He volunteers as a leader for the BC and Yukon division of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. In his spare time, Harvey enjoys cycling, skiing, tennis, reading and opera. Harvey lives in Victoria, BC with wife Diana, their dog McDuff and supports his three sons at University.

Erik Morch
Erik Morch (Victoria) is a senior business- and service-transformation and alternative service delivery and outsourcing specialist. Most recently he was the Executive Contract Manager of the Business Management Office (BMO), B.C. Ministry of Health. The BMO is responsible for the oversight of the 10 year, $330 million contract with MAXIMUS BC for Medical Services Plan and Pharma Care administration. Erik has been involved in a number of ASD projects and outsourcing contracts including the Revenue Management contract with EDS Advanced Solutions valued at $572 million over 10 years. His experience on this contract started with creation of the business model followed by vendor selection, contract negotiation and transition. He was the government lead for transition and became IT Advisor in the contract management office following handover.

Valerie Sluth
Val Sluth, CMC (Regina) is a senior management consultant with over 15 years of consulting experience in the areas of strategy, organizational effectiveness, evaluation and governance. Her passion is the alignment of organizational structures and systems with strategy. She has provided consulting services to a diverse set of clients in the public and NGO sectors at provincial and federal levels. Val has served as a sessional lecturer at both the University of Regina and the University of Saskatchewan where her topic areas have included governance, management, leadership and interpersonal communication. Val has undergone Aboriginal culture training and has worked extensively with organizations and government agencies in the advancement of First Nations issues. As a certified management consultant and an active member of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants, Val puts into practice the ethics and standards of this professional organization. She is currently President of the Saskatchewan chapter.

John O’Connell
John O’Connell is an experienced business strategy and operations design specialist, including the assessment and effective use of shared services and outsourcing to deliver on business goals. John brings close to twenty years of international and domestic consulting experience with financial services, government (national, state/province, agencies) and consumer products companies and was an Associate Partner with IBM, leading the Transformation practice in Canada which included responsibility for the Shared Services, Co-Sourcing and Outsourcing Advisory practices. He also led deal design and negotiations for several IBM outsourcing contract opportunities, providing experience on both client and vendor sides of the large business processing outsourcing deals. John has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from INSEAD in France and an HBA from the University of Western Ontario.

Carlos Raposo
Carlos Raposo is a Senior Executive with more than 25 years of line experience in operations, sales, marketing, IT and general management. He is an experiences business transformation and outsourcing management specialists with extensive international experience. As General Manager of Latin America for Hewitt, Carlos successfully restructured the organization to achieve improved productivity and revenue generation and as CIO and then Senior Vice President of Price Waterhouse Coopers BPO division he transformed the business globally. With extensive experience on both the buyer and seller sides of outsourcing Carlos brings an deep understanding and commitment to ensuring successful and mutually beneficial relationships.

Deborah Schubert
Deb Schubert is an experienced people and culture consultant with over 20 years of executive experience in designing and delivering integrated people solutions to leverage business results in the healthcare, financial services, business products and government sectors. Deb’s proven track record spans change leadership, HRIS & HR operations & service delivery, performance management & measurement and all aspects of talent systems including reward system design & delivery. In the capacity of Vice President of Human Resources, she acted as a strategic business partner to the President/CEO of an international healthcare organization with over 6,000 employees, advising on all aspects of talent management and HR operations. Her qualifications and certifications span compensation and benefit plan design, defined benefit pension plans and other deferred tax plans, as well as adult learning, psychological testing and counseling. Deb has an Honours Degree in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master of Education degree from the University of Toronto.
